What can cause a computer to overheat?

What can cause a computer to overheat?

The CPU (Processor) Heats up usually because the computer is dirty inside with alot of dust. The dust cakes up on fans and makes the air-flow through the fan considerably less. I'd recommend cleaning the computer out every couple of months with some compressed air. You can buy a can for about $5.

What Happens:

When the CPU overheats, it can cause the computer to reboot, or sometimes shutdown on its own. It will usually overheat when under load instead of just idling, so you won't notice it until you're using your computer. Games and heavy graphics have a tendency to put more use on your processor, where-as web browsing does not and usually won't overheat your computer unless it's a major issue. If you forcefully push the overheating processor, like turning the computer on every time it tries to shut off, or disabling the overheat protection in the BIOS, it can cause your processor to literally burn up. You'd know that happens if you see smoke and smell burning metal - that's a very bad thing.

You can check the temperatures with software, Speed-fan is a good program that can see how hot your computer is. If anything gets over 60-70 Celsius then there is definitively a problem that you should not ignore.

Fixing:

Open the side of your computer's case, clean it out with compressed air, make sure all the fans are nice and clean and the heat-sink is shiny (The heat-sink is a grey box usually underneath the fan on top of the processor). To clean the heat-sink, don't try to take it off, just spray compressed air throughout it, it'll be enough to break loose most of the gunk.

One solution to prevent dust buildup would be to cut up some air filters, like those big ones for a heater, and put them on the openings of your computer case by screwing them in. It's crude, but very effective. After a couple weeks you'll notice a lot of dust on those and they'd have to be cleaned off or replaced though.

To  make sure you know what internet safety is and how to be safe with it. so that a beginner.

some may look online on how to do it as they are unsure.

many will ignore everything with common sense.

but how to REALLY stay safe on the internet is a really big problem that has been coming up a lot recently . people ask in real life these questions.

here are what are mostly taught for what to do.

1) Do not post any personal information online  like: your address, email address or mobile number.

2) Think carefully before posting pictures or videos of yourself.

Once you have put a picture of yourself online most people can see it and may be able to download it, it’s not just yours anymore.

3) Keep your privacy settings as high as possible

4) Never give out your passwords

5) Don’t befriend people you don’t know

6) Don’t meet up with people you have met online.

Speak to your parent or carer about people suggesting you do

7) Remember that not everyone online is who they say they are

8) Think carefully about what you say before you post something online

9) Respect other people’s views, even if you don’t agree with someone else’s views doesn’t mean you need to be rude

10) If you see something online that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or worried: leave the website, turn off your computer if you want to and tell a trusted adult immediately.

ZoneAlarm
the important step is the last :

11) Use a firewall software app that is also a computer monitor such as ZoneAlarm (which is free).

but this  can be happening for the same for adults as well, all ages, everyone needs to be safe on the internet.

risk warn

Since the  spread of mobile phones  more than two decades rolled scientific warnings of impending health risks posed by these devices on human health, especially with regard to potentially be associated with serious illnesses such as cancers of the brain, but these scientific studies have been facing a lot of doubt .

But seems those days of warnings has gone after a recent scientific study proving tangibly health risks of mobile phones on the health of its users, where indicated, a new study of the national program of the American Toxicology for closely been associated with the mobile phone and human cancer diseases as quoted the newspaper "The Independent" British.

She noted the new study, which was conducted on a group of male mice numbered 2500 mouse in two years and have been exposed to radio waves similar proportions to those produced by mobile phones to the exposure of these mice to two types of tumors at the level of both the brain and the heart that, in mice prone remained these sound waves.

There is no doubt that the new study will open the door finally in front of the supporters of the theory of the dangers of mobile phone in the face of against to do further studies in this regard, more accurate and objective.
